How to choose
Palazzo or culotte. Palazzos fall to the ankle and suit kurtas of any length; culottes stop mid-calf and look best with kurtis and tops at or above the hip. Fabric. Khadi and mulmul are the lightest and most breathable for summer; cotton slub holds its shape and creases less; Kota is sheer, so Kota pants are lined or worn under long kurtas. Waist. Most styles have an elastic or drawstring waist and a single fit through the hip, so size by hip measurement on the size chart (XXXL hip 121.9 cm / 48"). Straight-fit pants with a fixed waistband are marked on the product page.
What to pair them with
Solid cotton palazzos and pants with printed Kalamkari and block-print kurtas; dhoti and harem pants with flared or halter-neck kurtas and tops; churidars with anarkalis. Finish with Kolhapuris or juttis. Want the kurta and bottom matched already? See Kurta & Suit Sets and Co-ord Sets.
Care
Cold gentle wash, mild detergent, dry in shade, iron on medium. Cotton pants may shrink slightly on the first wash; if you are between sizes, go up.
FAQs about cotton palazzos
Are these pure cotton palazzo pants?
Yes – palazzos, culottes, dhotis, harems, churidars and salwars here are 100% cotton (khadi, Kota, mulmul, cambric, cotton slub). The satin and organza skirts are the exception and are labelled.
Which palazzo goes with a kurti?
A straight-cut cotton palazzo in a solid colour picked from the kurti’s print. For short kurtis, culottes or high-waisted pants keep the proportion balanced.
Do the palazzos have pockets?
Many of the straight pants and culottes do; check the Key Features list on the product page.
Do you have plus-size palazzos?
Yes, XXL and XXXL across the range – filter in XXL or XXXL. Elastic and drawstring waists make these the most forgiving bottoms we sell.
What is the difference between a palazzo and a plazo?
None – “plazo” and “plazzo” are common spellings of palazzo, the wide-leg trouser cut from the hip.
